BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Nissan Kicks will be an important ally of Buenos Aires Marathon runners, as it will be carrying the timer at this year's demanding race. Kicks, designed to tackle the day-to-day challenges of city driving, will accompany runners and set the pace during the 26-mile marathon on October 15.
"We at Nissan understand that sport is the best possible way of awakening the excitement and passion of Argentineans," said Luis Alberto Perez-Ettedgui, deputy marketing director of Nissan Argentina. "We put this philosophy into practice by taking part in international sporting events and sporting events in the countries in which we are present."
The Nissan Kicks has a very close relationship with sport. It was launched globally at the Olympic Games in Rio Janeiro where it carried the torch.
The design of the Nissan Kicks has been inspired by the culture and passion of Latin Americans. It is the first car to be launched in Latin America, with a view to introducing it into 80 countries around the world. It has been made especially for customers in big cities who have to face the urban jungle every day.
In addition to the main marathon, Nissan Argentina also took part in the Buenos Aires half-marathon held last September and signed a three-year agreement with the La Dolfina polo team to become the official vehicle supplier to the world's top polo team.
Based on the company's great tradition and experience, the Nissan Kicks is a crossover that brings together a modern and robust exterior design, a higher driving position and a size and agile performance that is just right for urban areas.
